Tone of Voice

Tone of voice controls how your content "speaks." It defines the style, personality, and formality of every article you generate, so your writing can feel clear, consistent, and aligned with your brand. Whether you want to sound friendly, technical, expert, or casual, this setting helps you create content that feels like it's written by you.

What It Does

Once selected, your tone of voice shapes:

  • How formal or conversational your language is.
  • The rhythm and structure of sentences.
  • How content "feels" to your audience – informative, persuasive, professional, etc.

This ensures every article reflects your brand personality and builds trust with readers.

How to Set It

  1. Go to Settings → Content Generation.
  2. Select the Tone of Voice option.
  3. Choose the tone that fits your brand best.

It will be used in all future articles automatically.

Note: Changing tone will not update content you've already generated.

Available Tones

RankPill offers several preset tone options:

  • Professional: Direct and clear, ideal for formal or B2B content.
  • Conversational: Friendly and relaxed, great for blogs and educational pieces.
  • Academic: Structured and formal, focused on accuracy and clarity.
  • Enthusiastic: Energetic and expressive, used to create excitement.
  • Authoritative: Confident and decisive, great for expert-led brands.
  • Informative: Focused on facts, great for tutorials or guides.
  • Persuasive: Strategic and goal-oriented, designed to drive action.

Tips for Choosing

  • Align tone with your brand's personality and audience expectations.
  • For most content, Conversational works well, especially early on.
  • You can test different tones to see what resonates best.
  • If you manage multiple businesses inside RankPill, each can have its own tone.

Getting the tone right helps your content sound more like you and makes it easier to connect with the people you're trying to reach.
