Integrating with Wix

Connecting your RankPill account to Wix allows you to publish AI-generated articles directly to your blog, completely automatically. The integration uses Wix's secure OAuth authorization, so you can connect with just a few clicks without needing to create API keys or tokens. Your articles, including title, content, images, and formatting, are automatically mapped to the correct fields in your Wix blog.

Before you begin, make sure you have:

  • Owner or Admin access to the Wix site you want to connect
  • The Wix Blog app installed and set up on your site
  • Your Wix site published and live

Connecting Your Wix Site

Navigate to Settings → Integrations in your RankPill dashboard and click “Connect” on the Wix card.

Installation Steps

  1. Click “Install on Wix” to open the Wix installer.
  2. Pick the Wix site you want to install RankPill on.
  3. Review the permissions RankPill is requesting, then click “Agree & Add”.
  4. After install completes, a RankPill setup page opens inside your Wix dashboard. Click “Continue to RankPill” to finalize the connection.
  5. You'll be returned to RankPill, the site will be linked to your active business, and publishing will be enabled automatically.

Once connected, you can publish articles immediately from the article editor, schedule them on your content calendar, or enable autopilot for fully automated publishing. Your articles will appear live on your Wix blog with all formatting, images, and SEO metadata intact.

Updating Published Articles

After publishing an article to Wix, you can update it at any time. Simply make your changes in the RankPill editor and click the “Update Article” button. Your changes will be pushed to your live Wix blog automatically without creating a duplicate post.

Troubleshooting.

My connection failed. What should I check?

Verify you have Owner or Admin permissions on your Wix site and that the Wix Blog app is installed. If the issue persists, uninstall RankPill from your Wix site (Wix Dashboard → Apps), then go back to RankPill and click Install on Wix again.

I installed the app but nothing happened in RankPill.

After installing on Wix, look for the RankPill setup page inside your Wix dashboard sidebar. Open it and click Continue to RankPill to finish linking the site to your account.

I clicked Continue to RankPill and ended up on the sign-in page.

You need to be signed into RankPill in the same browser to complete the connection. Sign in, and the connection will automatically resume.

My articles aren't publishing successfully.

Make sure your Wix site is published and live (not in draft mode). Verify the Blog app is properly set up and that your Wix account permissions haven't changed.

My connection stopped working.

This usually happens if the app was uninstalled from your Wix site or its permissions changed. Disconnect the integration in RankPill, then reinstall and reconnect.

Can I publish to multiple Wix sites?

Currently, each RankPill business can connect to one Wix site. Contact support if you need to manage multiple sites.

Will published articles appear on my live site immediately?

Yes! Articles published from RankPill appear immediately on your live Wix blog and are visible to visitors.

Can I edit articles after publishing to Wix?

Yes! You can edit articles directly in your Wix blog editor, or update them in RankPill and republish to overwrite the Wix version.

Do I need to create API keys or tokens?

No! You just install the RankPill app from Wix and approve the requested permissions. No manual API key creation is required.

What happens if I uninstall the app from Wix?

If you uninstall RankPill from your Wix site, RankPill will no longer be able to publish articles. Your existing published articles will remain on your blog. To resume publishing, install the app again and reconnect from RankPill.

Does this work with Wix's free plan?

The integration works with all Wix plans that include the Blog app. However, we recommend a paid plan for the best blogging experience and SEO benefits.

Will my images be uploaded to Wix?

Yes! Featured images and any images in your article content are automatically uploaded to your Wix Media Manager and embedded in the published article.

Can I customize how articles are formatted in Wix?

Articles are published with standard Wix blog formatting. After publishing, you can edit the article in Wix to apply custom styling or adjust the layout as needed.
